The Scent

Lavender and bergamot open it, then honey moves in fast with warm cinnamon and jasmine, before it settles into vanilla, tobacco, and tonka bean. Softer and more lavender-forward than the honeyed tobacco-leather of Xerjoff Naxos, but with the same sweet, warm oriental character at a fraction of the price. Rich enough for cold-weather evenings, not for anyone who wants something light.

Worth Knowing

Naxos is one third of Xerjoff's XJ 1861 trio, created as a tribute to the 150th anniversary of Italian unification and first shown at Esxence Milan in 2015. It's gone on to become one of the most name-checked honey fragrances in niche perfumery.
