The Scent

A properly salty, mineral opening rather than the citrus blast most fresh fragrances lead with, sharpened by ginger. Seaweed and a green, natural-smelling vetiver follow, and it dries down woody but still airy on cedar and oakmoss. It smells like cold air over water, not like a shower gel.

Worth Knowing

People do not agree on this one, and that is the point of it. The seaweed note reads as beautiful and briny to some and frankly unpleasant to others, and Fragrantica ran an article on exactly that split. If you like your fresh fragrances safe and familiar, this is not that. Try the 2ml first.

Where It Came From

Launched in 2024 as Issey Miyake's first fragrance built around salt, and it has since grown into a small family with an eau de parfum and a parfum, both of which smell different from this one.
