The Scent
A distinctive aquatic built around a salty, mineral seaweed note that sets it apart from the usual blue scent. Mandarin, orange, and petitgrain open citrusy, then seaweed, lavender, and cotton flower move in, settling into cedar, patchouli, clary sage, and amber. Cleaner and more interesting than most aquatics, with that signature briny twist. Easy to wear and pleasant in the heat, a fresh daytime scent for warm weather.
Worth Knowing
It was created by Jacques Cavallier, who won the Prix Francois Coty the year before this release and went on to become Louis Vuitton's in-house perfumer in 2012, a role he still holds today.
Where It Came From
Released in 2005, it did well enough that Bvlgari built out a small collection around it over the years, including Aqva Pour Homme Atlantiqve and Aqva Amara.
About Bvlgari
Bvlgari traces back to 1884, when Greek silversmith Sotirio Bvlgari opened his first boutique on Via Sistina in Rome. What began as a shop for silver ornaments and antiques grew into one of Italy's most recognized names in jewelry and luxury goods. The brand's distinctive logo, with a V replacing the U in a nod to ancient Rome, first appeared on the storefront of its Via Condotti flagship in 1934.
