The Scent
Saffron and jasmine open it, sweet and a little metallic, then amberwood and ambergris move in, settling into fir resin and cedar. A close, potent read on the saffron-amberwood signature Baccarat Rouge 540 built its name on, at a fraction of the price. It projects harder than the original for the first hour, then settles into something quieter.
Worth Knowing
Baccarat Rouge 540 was commissioned in 2013 for the Baccarat crystal house's 250th anniversary, with its name nodding to the 540°C temperature crystal is worked at. It's since become, by Fragrantica's own reckoning, the single most cloned fragrance in the current dupe market.
Where It Came From
Released in 2022 inside Armaf's Club de Nuit family, the same flagship lineup that includes Club de Nuit White Imperiale, also carried here.
