The Scent

Bright citrus and cardamom open first, sharpened by Sichuan pepper, before a dense, resinous patchouli takes over the middle: dark and almost animalic, threaded with saffron and rose. It settles into Amouage's own amber-and-oud signature: vanilla, opoponax and smoked frankincense over a long, warm base. Nothing about this is quiet.

Worth Knowing

Part of The Essences, the 2024 line Amouage pushed to 30% pure perfume oil, well past standard eau de parfum strength, and aged six months through a double infusion with sandalwood chips and French oak barrels. It sold out within hours of release.
