The Scent
Lemon, bergamot, and elemi open sharp and citrusy, then woody notes move in with jasmine and lily-of-the-valley, settling into musk, patchouli, and amber. It swaps Aventus's pineapple blast for a sharper citrus opening, then fades faster and quieter than the original. A daytime citrus-woody musk rather than a full Aventus stand-in.
Worth Knowing
Aventus was created for Creed's 250th anniversary in 2010, credited to perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault working with the Creed family. Blackcurrant from Corsica, where Napoleon Bonaparte was born, and birch from Louisiana, territory he once controlled, tie the fragrance to his story, and it's gone on to become Creed's best-selling release.
Where It Came From
Released in 2016, the first entry in what's grown into Al Haramain's L'Aventure line, which now also includes L'Aventure Knight, also carried here.
About Al Haramain
Al Haramain Perfumes traces back to 1970, when founder Kazi Abdul Haque started a small perfume trading business in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, Saudi Arabia. The name itself, meaning the two sanctuaries, honors those cities. What began as a handful of stores has grown into a company with nearly a hundred showrooms across the Gulf and a catalog of over a thousand fragrances, now led by Haque's son, Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman.
