The Scent

A bright, sweet rush of strawberry and raspberry opens over pear, orange, and a sparkling bergamot-calone freshness, then a transparent peony-jasmine-orange blossom heart moves in. The base settles into pale musks and ambroxan with patchouli present but restrained, keeping it closer to a clean, modern chypre than a heavy one. Now Smell This called it a competent but somewhat generic entry in the crowded pink-fruity-floral category: pleasant and easy-wearing rather than distinctive, which is a fair way to set expectations. A versatile daytime scent that holds up into an evening out.

Worth Knowing

YSL markets Mon Paris as a “white chypre,” a lighter, modern take on the traditional chypre structure rather than the mossy, austere style the word usually implies. It was developed by three Firmenich perfumers: Olivier Cresp, Harry Fremont, and Dora Baghriche.
