The Scent
Orange blossom opens warm and almost boozy, reviewers compare it to a brighter Grand Marnier rather than a sharp, cold citrus. Saffron carries the heart with a leathery edge, then Haitian vetiver settles the base into dry, smoky, grounded woods. Three notes, no filler, and reviewers consistently describe it as richer and warmer than the original Grey Vetiver, wearing more like a "regal" evening scent than a bright everyday one. Longevity is commonly cited in the 8-12 hour range with moderate, refined projection rather than a big room-filling trail.
Worth Knowing
This isn't the 2009 Grey Vetiver Eau de Parfum at a higher strength. It's a different composition entirely. The EDP runs a full pyramid of grapefruit, orange flower, and sage over orris, nutmeg, and pimento, down to oakmoss and amber woods. The Parfum strips that down to three notes, orange blossom, saffron, and Haitian vetiver, and trades the EDP's cold, soapy "barbershop" opening for something warmer and more vetiver-forward. No dedicated budget clone of the Parfum has surfaced yet. The dupes on the market, including Armaf's Just Jack Vetiver, all target the older EDP's note structure instead.
Where It Came From
Released in 2023 as the third and most concentrated entry in the Grey Vetiver family, joining the 2014 eau de toilette and the original 2009 eau de parfum. It's part of Tom Ford Beauty's Signature collection, the brand's wider-distribution line sold through department stores and retailers like Sephora and Nordstrom, distinct from the more exclusive Private Blend line.
