The Scent

A warm, sweet, and instantly recognizable modern classic. Crisp apple, bergamot, lavender, and mandarin open things up, then geranium, violet, and jasmine move in, resting on vanilla, cardamom, sandalwood, and guaiac wood. Smooth, a little spicy, and genuinely addictive, it's the kind of scent people ask about wherever you wear it. Versatile enough for daytime or a night out, and a favorite through the cooler months.

Worth Knowing

It's the work of Hamid Merati-Kashani, a perfumer who grew up in Isfahan, Iran, surrounded by rose fields, an early influence that helped shape his whole career in fragrance. Layton has become one of the most talked-about scents in modern niche perfumery and has grown into its own small family, including a richer Layton Exclusif.

Where It Came From

Released in 2016, it quickly became one of Parfums de Marly's signature releases and a favorite among fans of warm, sweet, spicy fragrances.

About Parfums de Marly

Julien Sprecher founded Parfums de Marly in 2009, drawing on his family's deep roots in the perfume industry and his own fascination with 18th century France. The name comes from Chateau de Marly, a residence built for King Louis XV, whose court was famous for its love of fragrance. The brand's logo features the Chevaux de Marly, the famous horse sculptures from the chateau grounds, tying the whole collection back to that era of French elegance.
