Worth Knowing

The fragrance it's chasing, By Kilian's Angels' Share, is named for la part des anges, the portion of cognac lost to evaporation during barrel aging. It was released in 2020, and the house's founder, Kilian Hennessy, is an eighth-generation heir to the Hennessy cognac family, which makes the cognac-barrel theme a personal one.
