The Scent

The 2018 Eau de Parfum is the warmer, rounder Sauvage. Bergamot opens it, then Sichuan pepper, lavender, star anise and nutmeg fill the middle, and it settles into ambroxan and vanilla. Against the original Eau de Toilette it trades some of the metallic, sharp freshness for sweetness and weight. It is the version most people move to once the EDT starts feeling thin, and the one that performs best in cold weather.

Worth Knowing

François Demachy built this as a reinterpretation rather than a flanker, keeping the ambroxan spine of the 2015 original and adding vanilla underneath it.

Launched in 2018, three years after the original Sauvage Eau de Toilette.
