The Scent
A green, fresh, aromatic classic that's stayed relevant for decades. Lemon, verbena, and a touch of peppermint open it up crisp and bright, then violet leaf and iris move in, resting on a soft, creamy base of sandalwood and ambergris. Clean, sophisticated, and effortlessly wearable, it's the kind of scent that never really goes out of style. A great everyday pick for the office or casual wear, especially in warmer months.
Worth Knowing
It's credited to perfumer Pierre Bourdon, who later drew on some of the same fresh, green, aromatic ideas when composing Davidoff Cool Water, one of the best-selling men's fragrances ever made. That kind of influence on the wider industry is rare.
Where It Came From
Released in 1985, it helped define an entire category of fresh, green masculine fragrances and remains one of the most referenced scents in that space forty years later. You'll find its influence in the Armaf Tres Nuit also carried here.
About Creed
Creed dates back to 1760 in London, where James Henry Creed started out as a tailor to British royalty and aristocracy before moving into perfumery. The house later relocated to Paris at the invitation of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie, and it's remained there ever since. Creed has stayed in the same family for generations, passed from father to son, and continues to produce many of its own essences using traditional methods most other houses gave up on long ago.
