Louis Vuitton Symphony doesn't come in a sample size, at least not from Louis Vuitton. LV doesn't sell decants or testers of its own fragrances, and it has no authorized independent retailers. Grey-market decant shops pour it anyway; we don't stock the original. So if you want to try the citrus-and-ambroxan idea Symphony is built on from us, you're trying someone else's version of it. We stock two: Bujairami Psycho and Khadlaj Island Dreams, both tagged in our own catalog as direct interpretations of Symphony, not a loose "in that territory" comparison. Here's the side by side.
What Symphony is chasing
Louis Vuitton Symphony is built around a citrus-and-ambroxan idea: bright grapefruit and bergamot up top, over a clean, mostly synthetic-musk base. It's part of Louis Vuitton's Les Extraits Collection, its extrait-strength line, sold through Louis Vuitton's own boutiques and site. No independent retailer is authorized to carry it, which is exactly why interpretations like these two exist.
Bujairami Psycho
An Extrait de Parfum. Tart grapefruit leads with bergamot, orange, and a little ginger, over a fruity heart and a clean base of musk, soft woods, and amber. Wearers consistently call out the bright citrus and ginger, describing it as fresh and office-safe. Made by Bujairami, an Australian clone house. Psycho is one of the eight Bujairami releases we stock, all Louis Vuitton interpretations.
Khadlaj Island Dreams
Also an Extrait de Parfum. Ginger and bergamot open zesty, grapefruit brightens the heart, and it settles on a simpler base of musk and ambroxan. Made by Khadlaj, a UAE house founded in 1997 by a perfumer with over 45 years in the craft, better known for its own original Arabic and French-style fragrances than for interpretations.

What's actually different
On the note lists, both open in the same grapefruit-and-bergamot territory, close enough that either one gets the Symphony idea across on first spray. The difference shows up in the base: Psycho adds soft woods and amber underneath, giving it a slightly rounder, warmer finish. Island Dreams stays leaner, closer to a straight citrus-and-ambroxan read all the way through. Neither is more "correct." They're two different houses' takes on the same brief, and the base note is where you'll notice it.
Why compare two clones instead of clone vs original
Most of our dupe comparisons put a clone next to the fragrance it's built on. This one can't, because we don't stock the original: Louis Vuitton sells no samples or decants and authorizes no independent retailers, so the only Symphony decants in circulation are grey-market pours. What we can do is put two independent attempts at the same brief next to each other and let you judge which interpretation you'd rather wear.
Which one to buy
If you want the citrus opening with something a little warmer underneath, start with Psycho. If you want the cleaner, more one-note citrus-and-musk version, Island Dreams is the leaner read. At the same price for a 2ml, the simple answer is to buy both and compare on your own skin. That settles the question in a way no review can.
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy Louis Vuitton Symphony as a decant?
Not from us. Louis Vuitton doesn't sell samples or authorize decants of its fragrances, so any Symphony decant you find is a grey-market pour from an unauthorized shop. We don't carry Symphony. Bujairami Psycho and Khadlaj Island Dreams are independent interpretations, not decants of the original.
Which is closer to Louis Vuitton Symphony, Psycho or Island Dreams?
Both are built openly around the same citrus-and-ambroxan structure. Psycho leans a little warmer and woodier in the base, Island Dreams stays leaner and more purely citrus. Neither publishes independent lab verification against the original, so the real test is your own skin.
Are Bujairami and Khadlaj the same company?
No. Bujairami is an Australian clone house making interpretations of luxury houses including Louis Vuitton; the eight releases we stock are all from its Louis Vuitton line. Khadlaj is a UAE house founded in 1997, known mostly for its own original Arabic and French-style fragrances, with Island Dreams as one of its interpretation releases.
Are these Extrait de Parfum or Eau de Parfum?
Both are Extrait de Parfum. So is the original: Symphony is part of Louis Vuitton's Les Extraits Collection, its extrait line, not an Eau de Parfum. Concentration is a wash here... the differences between these three are in the notes, not the strength on the label.
Can I buy both in Canada from Atelier Elemental?
Yes. We're based in Regina, Saskatchewan, and hand-pour decants of both, starting at 2ml. Orders over $55 ship free across Canada, and Regina orders over $25 qualify for free hand delivery.
Atelier Elemental is an independent decanting service. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners; brand names are used only to identify the authentic products we decant or compare.
